Privacy Policy

Short version: Housewright collects nothing about you. There is no account, no analytics, no advertising and no server that we operate. Everything you type into the app stays on your device and, if you have iCloud switched on, in your own iCloud account.

What we collect

Nothing. Housewright has no sign-up, no login and no user profile. We do not collect your name, email address, location, contacts, photos, device identifiers, advertising identifiers, usage analytics or crash reports. The app contains no third-party analytics, attribution or advertising SDKs of any kind.

Where your data lives

The homes, tasks, intervals, notes, "my specifics" fields and photos you add are stored in the app's private container on your device. If you are signed in to iCloud and have iCloud Drive enabled, that data is also synced to Apple's CloudKit private database under your Apple Account, which is how it backs up, appears on your other devices and restores onto a new phone.

We have no access to that private database. Apple's handling of it is governed by the Apple Privacy Policy and counts against your iCloud storage. If you sign out of iCloud or disable it for Housewright, the app keeps working entirely on-device — it will simply tell you that backup is off.

Notifications

Reminders are local notifications scheduled by the app on your device. They are not push notifications; nothing is sent to or from a server to deliver them, and no notification token is transmitted anywhere.

Photos

Photos you attach to a completed task are downscaled and stored inside the app's own database, and synced as CloudKit assets to your own iCloud account if you have backup switched on. Housewright never asks for access to your photo library: picking a photo uses the system photo picker, which runs outside the app and hands over only the single image you chose. The app cannot see anything else in your library.

Purchases

Housewright is a one-time $2.99 purchase handled entirely by Apple. We never see your payment details. Apple provides us aggregate, anonymous sales and download reports that cannot identify individual customers.

Children

Housewright is not directed at children and collects no personal information from anyone, including children under 13.

Your rights

Because we hold no data about you, there is nothing for us to export, correct or delete on your behalf — and no request to make. To remove your data, delete the app and, if you wish, remove its data from iCloud in Settings. Deleting a home or a task inside the app removes it from your device and from your iCloud copy on the next sync.

Changes

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date. If a future version of the app were ever to collect anything, that change would be described here and disclosed in the App Store privacy label before it shipped.
